The aim of the current research is to measure the capacity of Islamic political philosophy (specifically, Farabi's political philosophy) in dealing with the efficiency of the government by examining the foundations of efficiency. Today, the efficiency of the government is considered one of the important concerns of thinkers and societies. The standard of public judgment about a political system depends on the degree of efficiency realization. In the assumption of lack of efficiency, we will face the challenge of legitimacy of governments. Effectiveness depends on various knowledge; including knowledge such as management, economics and sociology. The hypothesis of the current research is that political philosophy, especially Islamic political philosophy, in a horizon beyond the aforementioned knowledge, has suitable capacities for discussing the foundations of government efficiency, among which Farabi's political philosophy, as one of the important approaches of Islamic political philosophy, has a special capacity. It is efficient to enter the discussion.
