Abstract
Virtual social networks have pushed the complex world forward of their users and pushed them into new relationships in the community. These relationships are reflected in all areas of collective life. Therefore, the main question in this research is, how did the expansion of social networking virtualities play in the process of political socialization in Iranian society? The main hypothesis is that the expansion of social networks has led to undermining the role of the state and increasing civil society, such as parties, associations, nongovernmental media., in the process of political socialization in Iranian society. .

Therefore, in this research, we tried to collect a researcher made questionnaire and a research method. Data gathering was conducted using the Cochran formula. The statistical population of the students of Social Sciences Faculty of Islamic Azad University of Tehran Center, number 178, was selected as a sample size.

The findings of the research in Spearman correlation coefficient test show that as the significance level of the correlation test between the use of virtual social networks and political socialization (based on political participation and party attitudes during the election) is less than the 0.05 error rate, It can be concluded
