Abstract
Political jurisprudence is the inference of religious rulings on political issues from detailed evidence from the Quran, Sunnah, consensus, and reason. In this article, we will examine the capacity of Shiite political jurisprudence on the issue of women's political guardianship and positions (leadership, presidency, and ministry). The main question is; can we deduce from Shiite political jurisprudence an analysis about the possibility of women's political guardianship especially from the jurisprudential views of Ayatollah Na'ini? Therefore, what opportunities and what obstacles exist to the realization of women's political guardianship? Using an analytical-comparative method, while discussing the possibility of women becoming judges as the source of the discussion of women's political guardianship, the most important intellectual and jurisprudential concepts of Ayatollah Na'ini are presented. Then, focusing on the metaphor of endowment in his theory and its relation to Shiite political jurisprudence, we will analyze the possibility of women's political guardianship.
