News coverage of the withdrawal of the United States of America from the JCPOA in the international media of BBC and CNN

Abstract

The present descriptive-analytical article was created with the aim of investigating the news coverage of America's withdrawal from the JCPOA in the international media BBC and CNN, and reports on the issue from the perspective of these two huge media companies, which are largely responsible for refining and shaping our views of World events, especially the Iran nuclear negotiations and its news coverage. The research data has been collected in the library method by accessing some information through magazines, books and the internet, especially the official websites of these two networks.

The results showed that BBC and CNN, as elite news media in the world, using the great importance they have found in the public opinion, had the most news coverage regarding the withdrawal of the United States from the JCPOA and succeeded in creating and directing the public opinion towards it. Most of the coverage of the discussed networks of Iran's nuclear activities is focused on the official policy debates related to the said activities and how the international reaction to the withdrawal of the us from the JCPOA and concerns about the fate of this agreement.
