Abstract

Syed Qutb and Ali Abdul Razak were contemporary thinkers of the Islamic world in Egypt who, despite the simultaneous two different views of components such as the relationship between religion and politics. Both paid special attention to religious texts, except that Syed Qutb reaches religious rule, but Ali Abdul Razak tries to prove secularism from religious texts. The necessity of the issue is that the confrontation of Islamic civilization with Western civilization caused two political currents to form within Islam, one political Islam and the other secular Islam, the main challenges of the Islamic world are tied around these two trends. Syed Qutb and Ali Abdul Razak are prominent representatives of the two currents. So the purpose of this study is to answer the question of what is the most important sign between these two discourses (political Islam and secular Islam) in the political thought of Syed Qutb and Ali Abdul Razak and how are they bordered? The method of this research for analysis is Laclau and Mouffe method of discourseThese two discourses provide us with exercises for the future of the Islamic world, which we will reveal in this article.
