Abstract
The present study was carried out with the aim of criticizing and reviewing environmental laws in the Islamic Republic of Iran and in order to provide solutions to improve these laws, using library sources and after reviewing the compilation process. and the approval of laws related to the environment in Iran before and after the Islamic revolution and the participation of the Islamic Republic in international environmental conventions, the structure of the institutions in charge of the environment in the country has been examined and the findings of the research lead to this conclusion It was found that the environmental laws in the Islamic Republic system were not preventive and the multiplicity of trustees as well as the dispersion of laws and definitions caused the continued destruction of the environment in the country.
