The Nagorno-Karabakh conflict between the Republic of Azerbaijan and Armenia, known as the Second War, in 2020 has had security and political consequences for the involved and neighboring countries. This event has brought the relative victory of Azerbaijan and geopolitical changes and increased influence of Israel. This research aims to study the goals of Baku in the project of the second Karabakh war and the security and political consequences of this war regarding the national security of the Islamic Republic of Iran. The purpose of the upcoming research is to answer the question, what are the security implications of the 2020 war between Azerbaijan and Armenia on the national security of the Islamic Republic of Iran based on the security theory of the Copenhagen school?The results obtained from this research, written in a descriptive-analytical method and with the approach of the Copenhagen security theory, show that Iran's policy towards the aforementioned war has extended beyond the dimension of military security in the strict sense of security to other dimensions of security and then It also includes political, cultural and social issues. The security consequences of this war are also evident for Iran in terms of military, geopolitics and territorial geography
