Abstract
The connection of economy and politics in the domestic and international sphere, which is considered as the shaper of economic diplomacy, is a necessary matter. Governments that are concerned about development put this issue at the top of their policies. The aim of the research is to examine the consistency of Iran's foreign policy and economic policy in the 11th and 12th governments. The hypothesis of the research which was written with analytical and explanatory methodology and using different sources is this; that the mutual consistency of foreign policy and economic policy and ignoring it in the governments caused us to witness ups and downs in economic development;which appeared in a positive way in the first period and in a negative way in the second period. The result of the research shows that in the 11th government, when the internal consensus was in support of the negotiations and the international conditions were ready, a nuclear agreement was reached, but in the 12th government, with the coming of Trump and the change of the executive elite in America, and the adoption of policies Hostile like ( JCPOA) and riftIn the internal consensus, the positive effects of foreign policy on economic development decreased.
