. John Rawls's theory of justice is based on some basic concepts such as the first position, the veil of ignorance, fairness, impartiality and the principles of justice. In addition to reflecting the concept of distributive justice in John Rawls's thought, social equality is also one of the concepts that has been reflected in the teachings of liberal democracy. From the conceptual point of view, social equality does not mean justice, but is one of the conditions and tools of justice. The concern of the present study is to examine John Rawls's mental image in the theory of justice, the relationship between John Rawls distributive justice and social equality in liberal democracy.
