Abstract

The JCPOA is a multilateral agreement that emerged with the joint work of the 5+1 countries and Iran, with the aim of ensuring international peace and security.According to the prediction of experts, in the short period of its implementation, a positive trend in guiding the developments in the Middle East towards stability and from a political point of view and various aspects of security, including economic security, was very useful for Iran. The present article is formed around the main question that with the withdrawal of the United States from the JCPOA, between 2018-2024, what is the direction and direction of Tehran's foreign policy? In response to the above question, the main assumption of the article is that Iran moved its foreign policy to the east with the aim of reducing the severity of the consequences of American and Western sanctions and reating a balance of power in the region. It focuses on the political and economic effects of this withdrawal. The research method is descriptive and analytical. The findings showed that the behavior of America and Iran caused Iran to get closer to the great powers of Russia and China to the east and to distance itself from Europe.
