Today, with the expansion of democracy in societies and the prevalence of the non-Tawḥīdī (non-monotheistic) mechanism of governance, the necessity of achieving a Tawḥīdī mechanism in the method of governance that observes both the worldly and the Hereafter life of humans is felt more than ever before. The Holy Qur’ān, as the flag-bearer of Tawḥīd and the unique path to felicity, is the best source for achieving this matter, and one of its methods of guidance is stating the story of the biography of the Prophets of God, wherein by contemplating it, important lessons and admonitions can be discovered. The purpose of this inquiry is to discover the doctrines of divine governance from the governance Sīrah (conduct) of the two Prophets, Prophet Dāwūd and Sulaymān (Peace Be Upon Them), mentioned in the Holy Qur’ān. The main question of the research is: How was the character and method of governance of the two mentioned Prophets, which is an example of the desired governance of the Qur’ān, in various subjects? In this research, utilizing the descriptive-analytical method, sources related to divine governance and documentation related to the doctrines and methods of governance of the two statesman Prophets, and the father and son of the Qur’ān, namely Their Holinesses Dāwūd and Sulaymān (Peace Be Upon Them), were collected, and based on library and internet data with an emphasis on relevant documentation and exegeses from the Qur’ān, the analysis and interpretation of the data have been performed. Six lessons from the method of divine governance related to the spheres of legitimacy, freedom, justice, foreign policy, and order were obtained in the Sīrah of these two Prophets of God, which consist of: the divine nature of the ruler's source of legitimacy, the basis being guidance toward the Truth (Al-Ḥaqq) in all political affairs, the necessity of establishing social justice for the material and spiritual growth of the individuals of society, the necessity of granting legitimate freedom on the part of the ruler to the individuals of society and the individuals being free in determining their own right to self-determination in the form of parties and social groups, the necessity of possessing firmness in dealing with polytheists (Mushrikīn) in foreign policy and strengthening the military force to preserve security and survival, and the necessity of possessing order, supervision, and seriousness regarding officials in governance. Therefore, the critique of non-divine governance and demonstrating the instances of divine governance in the behavior and action of two statesman Prophets, documented by Quranic verses and exegeses of Quranic sources, are among the most important findings of this research.
