The present study examines the function of social tawhid (monotheism) in the political philosophy of Islam from the perspective of the Qur'an, with an emphasis on the thoughts of Ayatollah Khamenei. A social reading of tawhid has various functions, some of which can be traced in its influence on applied philosophies. Given the new political equations at the international level and the absence of Qur’an-based theoretical foundations in the political-social domain, this study seeks to answer the question: based on the Qur'an and with an emphasis on the thoughts of Ayatollah Khamenei, what function does social tawhid serve in the three aspects of the foundations, objectives, and issues of politics? This study employs a library research method, focusing on Qur’anic verses centered on tawhid, analyzing their political implications, and examining the ideas of Ayatollah Khamenei. The findings indicate that in terms of foundations, social tawhid establishes the legitimacy of the Islamic government. Accordingly, the exclusive right of God in legislative authority and governance serves as a counter to contemporary forms of shirk (polytheism). Regarding the objective of social tawhid, the primary goals of establishing a divine government are to construct an ideal monotheistic society, ensure social spirituality, and guide society toward perfection. In the realm of political issues, the functions of social tawhid include unifying obedience to the Wali al-Amr (Guardian of the Affairs), collective will and action against tyrants and centers of oppression, defending the oppressed regardless of geographical or ideological boundaries, advocating for national and human freedom, and valuing political unity among nations. The conclusion is that social tawhid provides a suitable framework for transforming pre-existing issues in the philosophy of Islamic politics, laying the groundwork for divine governance, and ensuring servitude and social spirituality.
